10 Lines On Chittaranjan Das In English. Chittaranjan Das was popularly known by the name of Deshbandhu. He was born on the 5th of November, 1870 in Calcutta. Calcutta was a part of Bangladesh at that moment. Chittaranjan Das was born in a well – known family in the district of Telibagh, which was located in the city of Bikrampur, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

He completed his graduation from the Presidential College in the year 1890. 1890 was the same year when Chittaranjan Das travelled to the United Kingdom for the reputed ICS. But he failed in his attempt.

After failing in his attempt in ICS, he decided to become a jurist who practises law in London, United Kingdom. The jurists used to practise at the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple.

Chittaranjan Das also campaigned for the main Finsbury seat for Dadabhai Naoraji when he used to stay in the United Kingdom. It was in the year 1892 that Dadabhai Naoraji became the first Asian member of Westminster.

After 2 years, Chittaranjan Das returned to our nation and became a solicitor at the Calcutta High Court in the year 1894.

  1. Chittaranjan Das was heavily interested in the use of the Bengali language and promoted it.

  4. By the year 1925, Chittaranjan Das condition started to deteriorate.
  5. He then shifted to Darjeeling in the hope of improving his condition.

  6. He was a firm supporter of the ‘Swadeshi’ movement. He heavily supported and promoted the Khadi and the cottage industry and called for the rebel against the use of western clothing and clothes.
  7. He was a very famous leader among the Indian National Congress who was known for his ability to talk and understand the concepts deeply with rational knowledge.
  8. He was also deeply interested in the study of the Bengali language.
  9. He was also a writer and author with distinction.
  10. He left the world in the year 1925.

Conclusion:

Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das was a true nationalist.  India will always remember him for his contribution to the country and society.  In 1925, such a great soul became absorbed in Panchatattva.
